My Cousin Vinny is one of the funniest, and well done comedies of all time. Pesci is so good in that film. Also loved him in the mafia films too, especially Goodfellas!
His gangster persona in Goodfellas was so effective. Everything else he did, especially comedies, almost came with a wink since you knew what he was capable of putting onscreen.
